You are looking at an incredible antique pin/brooch pendant that was crafted in Italy from solid 14k yellow gold and designed by Giovanni Apa. It features a beautiful, hand carved, oval amethyst cameo that is neatly bezel set at the center of a truly stunning frame that exhibits magnificent open filigree and hand engraved work throughout. The fine amethyst displays a gorgeous light to medium purple color with a highly detailed and very well carved portrait of a woman. Its bezel setting is elegantly adorned with hand engraved work in which is also seen throughout the frame, displaying the most incredible and intricate detail. The back features both a pin with a rotating closure mechanism and a folding bail, which are both in perfect working order and guarantee safe wear.
