Hand Painted Portrait Yellow Gold French Brooch Pin
About the Item
In the style of Limoges, this fourteen karat brooch is hand painted by an unknown early 18th century artist. The delicately painted enamel subject has soft facial features and wisps of curls peaking out from under her shimmering kerchief. She is generously framed in fourteen karat yellow gold with turquoise accents that are each prong set to create a colorful border on the frames edge. The charming oval brooch measures approximately 1-1/2 inches x 2 inches. In fabulous condition for its age, the piece is stamped 14K and is unsigned but made in France. In gift box.
