A stunning Victorian 0.59 carat ruby and 0.08 carat diamond, 22 karat yellow gold and silver set 'snake' brooch; part of our diverse antique jewelry collections This stunning, fine and impressive Victorian brooch has been crafted in 22k yellow gold with a silver setting. The brooch has been modelled in the form of a snake, twisted and entwined around itself. The head of the snake is ornamented with a feature 22k yellow gold bezel set cushion cut ruby. A further five graduated 22k yellow gold pavé set round cut rubies graduate the back of the snake's head. A total of sixteen pavé set Dutch cut diamonds embellish the silver set snakes head. Two smaller bezel set round cut rubies represent the snake's eyes. The writhing body of the snake is plain and unembellished.
