About the Item
Art Nouveau Carved Jade depicts a topless lady surrounded by Natural Pearls. Erotic motive. Mounted in Gold. Delicate and fine item representing its time perfectly. Surrounded by a line of tiny and delicate pearl seeds.
Once it was common to communicate a message via pin or brooch. Nowadays this art is lost, but we can surely start a new tradition. Former Secretary of state Madeleine Albright published a fascinating book “Read My Pins” - a story and celebration of how one woman’s jewelry collection was used to make diplomatic history.
There are holes in the base of the brooch from each side probably to create a choker or a bracelet, please take a look at the video. Created around 1900 probably Russia.
