About the Item

August Holmström for Fabergé; Antique Silver, Gold, Pink Sapphire and Diamond Brooch. This circular wire pendant features approximately 7.30carats round pink sapphire surrounded by a square frame encrusted with 16 cushion-shaped and old European-cut diamonds with total weight of approximately 1.85carats placed within scrolled filigree wirework, old-mine and single-cut diamonds with total weight of approximately 0.65 ct. The bail adorned with diamonds. Stamped with maker's mark for August Holmström, St. Petersburg, with Russian assay mark and French import mark, inventory # 98275 and 92667, circa 1890.
