Cameo on brown agate featuring a young woman looking toward the left. The artist intricately sculpted the white vein of the agate to bring the delicate profile to life. The young woman is wearing a dress from the 17th century with a laced bodice and ruffled collar. This woman from high society has her hair pulled back in a bun and is wearing a diadem and earrings.
The gold mounting is highlighted with pearls and topped with an intricately sculpted scrollwork motif.
