A horse brooch by Ilgiz F, the realistically carved black enamelled horse jumping over a diamond-set fence, the diamonds weighing 0.56 carats in total, all mounted in 18ct gold, with double pin fitting, made by Ilgiz Fazulzyanov, measuring approximately 4.5cm long, gross weight 11.7 grams.
This elegant, equine brooch is another fine example of the mastery of the art of enamelling from the contemporary Russian jeweller Ilgiz F, considered by many to be the heir of Fabergé. From the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales.
