About the Item

Ca. 1860 -1900s period brooch made on the territories of former Austrian - Hungarian Empire. . Gilt Silver decorated with Sky Blue Enamel and single Seed pearl. Design is typical for AHE region,could be manufactured in Austria,Bohemia or Hungary for these land used to be the parts of the Austrian Empire. Measurements : 35mm long X 25 mm wide X 10mm deep.. Weight : 9.1 grams There are vague hallmarks of a dog’s head inside a coffin–shaped reserve indicating that the piece is made of silver about 830 purity. This type of design was trendy in Austrian - Hungary and Italy in the 1860 - early 1900s. There is another mark, possibly maker’s - not clear to read . Used finest condition, amazingly great for age. No damage to Enamel. Pearl is original and in great shape. > Most of the items that we sell are not new at all if not stated otherwise.
