About the Item

A fine and impressive antique Victorian pearl necklace/brooch in 15k yellow gold; part of our diverse antique jewelry and estate jewelry collections This fine antique Victorian necklace and pendant/brooch has been crafted in 15k yellow gold. The gold and pearl necklace consists of three articulated links ornamented with ivy leaf designs interspersed with flower buds. The two outer links feature a swallow in flight. This impressive gold and pearl necklace/brooch is embellished with one hundred and forty nine seed pearls of various sizes. The necklace is suspended via a twisted rope style gold chain which integrates with the articulated links via two bezel set pearls. The effective chain has a 9k yellow gold extension which secures to the reverse with a push fit cylindrical catch. This versatile necklace may be worn with the additional 15k yellow gold detachable floral style drop ornamented with pearls, which attaches to the necklace via a simple hook and loop fastening. This pierced decorated, pearl set drop is fitted with a hinged pin and clip to the reverse and may be worn independently as a brooch if so desired. The 15 ct gold fineness mark (15k) is clearly struck to the reverse of the detachable brooch. This Victorian pendant is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card.
