• The Middle of Grand Victorian

As to the Queen influence, Romantic Period jewelry had well pronounced sentimental vibes. It was the time when young Queen Victoria was in love with her husband, Prince Albert. And the whole nation admired their relationship. Cameos, matching brooches, miniature portraits and lockets reflected the likeness of loved ones. After Albert’s passing in 1861, the Early Victorian Period ended, and The Grand era began.

A very fine and impressive vintage 6.85 carat Old European round cut diamond, 1.10 carat ruby and platinum, flower spray brooch: part of our diverse brooch collection.
This stunning vintage flower spray diamond brooch has been crafted in platinum.
The vintage brooch has been modelled in the form of a floral spray, consisting of two flowers and foliage tied with a ribbon.
The two flower heads are each ornamented with a claw set mixed cut natural ruby, encircled by six individually claw set Old European round cut diamonds, varying in size.
The ribbon design, securing the platinum stems of the flowers, is embellished with three channel set calibre cut rubies.
The brooch is further ornamented with realistically modelled leaves in relief.
