Platinum Natural Pearls Diamonds Art Nouveau Bow Brooch. Magnificent Edwardian Art Nouveau bow brooch. 1910. Set with natural Pearls and old European cut Diamonds. Platinum. A small security chain with a pin is set to make sure this amazing item does not fall.
Delicate and light design a proper example of the superb jeweller work of the era.
Once it was common to communicate a message via pin or brooch. Nowadays this art is lost, but we can surely start a new tradition.
Former secretary of state Madeleine Albright published a fascinating book “Read My Pins” - a story and celebration of how one woman’s jewelry collection was used to make diplomatic history. This fine brooch is worth the best spot in a private collection.
It comes accompanied by a certificate from my gallery signed and stamped.
Natural Pearls and old-cut Diamonds are so well positioned together creating almost a wintery ornamentation.
