Vintage Shell Cameo 14 Karat Gold Brooch
About the Item
A vintage shell cameo brooch set in a 14 karat gold frame. The shell has a beautiful hue of pinkish and orangish colors and a white relief, and lies in a raised gold rim. The shell is carved into this female silhouette design while it is set in a worked oval-shaped 14 karat gold frame embellished with a rope motif and granulation around the border. The pin at the back is provided with a trombone clasp closure.
The brooch is in very good condition and of high quality. It measures 49 millimeters in length and 34 millimeters wide. The gold border is 6 millimeters wide. The brooch has a nice heavy weight of 8.38 grams.
