Victorian 0.55 Carat Diamond, 18k White Gold and 18k Yellow Gold Swallow Brooch

About

An exceptional, fine, and impressive antique 0.55 carat diamond, 18k yellow gold and 18k white gold swallow brooch; part of our antique diamond jewellery and estate jewelry collections This exceptional Victorian swallow brooch has been crafted in 18k yellow and 18k white gold. Two of the swallows* incorporated in to the unusual design are crafted in 18k white gold and embellished with a total of sixty-nine, well colour matched Dutch cut diamonds of various sizes. The arrangement is accented with the third swallow being entirely crafted in 18k yellow gold, with a textured finish representing its feathers. Old round cut rubies have been used to create the birds' eyes. This stunning and original Victorian brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and push fit clasp. The brooch is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card and has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18k gold. NOTE* During the Victorian era, sentimentality was reflected in jewellery designs, with swallows representing love, care and affection towards family and loved ones. The swallow exemplifying the concept of 'always returning'. Images do not always reflect the true colour and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds. The video however provides a truer representation of the actual colour and showcases each stone.
