Victorian Gold & Enamel Mourning Hair Locket Brooch Seed Pearls

About the Item

Wonderful VICTORIAN 14K GOLD Mourning Pin Locket. This has a glass back that would have housed a lock of hair or a picture of your loved one that had passed on. Looks like it has not been used, amazing quality and workmanship on this piece. Black onyx & gold work all over the piece. Center Seed Pearl motif on top of what looks to be black onyx or jet, but I believe it's black onyx. 8 Seed pearls around the outside and the center has 5 seed pearls. I see a tiny sliver of separation in the gold at the bottom. This one has an original pin back, old C style. Measuring 35.50 or 1.40" wide x 27.78mm or 1.09" top to bottom. This is out of a massive collection of Hopi, Zuni, Navajo, Southwestern, sterling silver, costume jewelry and fine jewelry from one collector.
