A pair of very long pearl and paste drop earrings, Robert de Mario, USA, 1950s

About the Item

Stunning and dramatic, very long 'chandelier' earrings, hand made, from the 1950s by Robert de Mario. With long baroque pearl fringing and gilt filigree backing, they are perfect as go-to earrings that cascade onto or past the shoulders! Robert De Mario founded the company in New York in 1945 after having worked and gathered experience with Miriam Haskell. De Mario jewels are characterised by beautiful designs, unusual colour combinations and excellent craftsmanship, hand crafted and intricately made. De Mario retired and closed his workshop in 1965.
