About the Item
A very fine pair of Wesley Emmons modernist 14 karat gold & jade pendant earrings.
Each earring features 2 hand hammered oval rings and terminates with a small engraved disc of spinach (nephrite) jade.
The jade pendants are engraved with Chinese symbols.
Emmons was an important jewelry maker in Philadelphia during the middle of the 20th century. He created cutting-edge jewelry for decades, and his long client list included numerous prominent clients such as Eleanor Roosevelt and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
