1960's Italian 18k Gold Enamel Earclips
About the Item
We love these earrings for so many reasons: let's start with the juxtaposition of smoothly polished gold rods and bark finish rods, all interconnected in a circular pattern. Then there's the artfully placed touches of enamel, with the brilliant blue on the smooth rods and the rich jade color for the bark finish rods, with the texture of the gold showing through the green enamel. There's the elegant use of air space between the bars to add lightness and chic to the domed oval shape. And last but hardly least, these earrings do not fall forward, as do many larger earrings - due to the balance of the design and the strong omega clip back, they stand up correctly on the earlobe. Stamped 18K Italy, 1" across and 1 1/3" long (3 1/2cmx 2 1/2cm). This is the kind of earring you can wear to the beach, the boardroom, or the ballroom.
