These clip brooches are also equipped with removable earring fittings to allow for wear as a spectacular pair of earrings. Paris-based Lacloche Freres was one of the most esteemed jewelry houses of the early 20th century and the name is synonymous with some of the most dazzling pieces of Art Deco jewelry. They catered to an elite clientele of aristocrats, royals, and socialites for whom they created sumptuous jewelry of distinctive design and exquisite craftsmanship. These clip brooches/earrings are a magnificent example of historic Lacloche Art Deco jewelry that is rare and highly collectible today. The upper part beautifully combines overlapping crest and flowing-ribbon motifs which sparkle with an abundance of old European-cut diamonds. At its lower end it is framed with a band of seamlessly-set baguette diamonds which are a hallmark of Art Deco jewelry designs. For an elegant conclusion, the brooches-earrings suspend a triple-row tassel of circular-cut saturated-red rubies wich are GIA certified as Burma geographic origin and no heat treatment. Adding further intrigue and completing this unique design is a smaller band of calibré-cut rubies which bisects the crest-motif and introduces vibrant color to the upper section. The brooches display remarkable artistry with finely-articulated sinuous curves of the diamond-encrusted crest and ribbon and with enchanting ruby tassels which are alive with movement when worn. A treasure of a jewel which will delight those who wear it as it enters its next century in existence.
