Antique 14 Karat Yellow Gold Openwork Dangle Earrings
About the Item
An antique pair of 14 karat gold dangle earrings crafted with a rich design of fine filigree and cannetille work. The earrings are beautifully made by hand with fine wirework and set with cannetille work which consists of small knots throughout the surface. The earpiece and center of the earrings are set with thin sheets of stamped hollow gold, these were used to create an earring with a more elaborate embossed texture. The earrings are for pierced ears and the ear hook goes backwards through the ear and closes on top of the earrings. Each earring has two small balls dangling below the top.
The earrings are in good condition. The embossed parts in the center and earpiece have little dents due to its antique age, however this does not detract from the wearability and beauty of the earrings. The earrings are marked as 14 karat gold.
