Edwardian Natural Pearl Diamond Platinum Drop Earrings
About the Item
A pair of Edwardian pearl and diamond earrings, the two certificated pear shaped natural pearls measuring approximately 7.65 x 10.75 mm set on a diamond-set cap suspended to a run of nine old brilliant-cut diamonds with stylised fleur-de-lys top, peg and scroll fittings, circa 1910, measuring approximately 3.6 x 0.8cm, gross weight 3.9 grams.
Edwardian earrings in very good condition, later earring posts and alpha fittings. Unmarked tested as platinum and 18ct gold.
An elegant pair of antique pearl and diamond earrings in-keeping with the beautiful, delicate style of the Edwardian period from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales. A flexible string of glittering diamonds is completed by a large luminous pearl, one of the most highly valued stones at that time.
