This is an exceptional pair of authentic Art Deco drop earrings crafted in solid platinum. Weighing a comfortable 8.0 grams and measuring 1.5 inches in length, the earrings feature a striking, vertically graduated linear design that showcases the distinctive fiery sparkle of antique diamond cutting. The pair is set with a total of 12 Old European-cut diamonds, collectively weighing approximately 8.40 carats. The layout is perfectly paired and balanced from top to bottom: the lower terminals feature the two largest diamonds weighing approximately 3.60 carats combined; the middle tier holds two diamonds weighing approximately 2.80 carats combined; and the upper graduating line features eight diamonds totaling approximately 2.00 carats. The diamonds grade an authentic antique color range of H-J with clear, faces-up VS1-SI1 clarity. The diamonds are housed in secure, low-profile bezel and individual prong settings that allow maximum light entry from the sides. The earrings are finished with secure post backings and heavy friction backs for safe wear. They are a rare, beautifully matched pair of period statement drops in excellent vintage condition.
