French Napoleon III Victorian Enamel Pearl Dangle Drop Earrings 18 Karat Gold
About the Item
This is a very rare pair of early Antique French Georgian - Victorian Dangle Drop Earrings in 18 Karat Gold with a stunning star motif with enamel and pearls and a dramatic 1 7/8 inches long. These antique earrings are of the highest quality. They have extraordinary design with three articulated sections. The earrings are French work from the 19th Century. The exquisite gold work is characteristic of the superb French jewelers of the 18th and 19th century who created very special jewels with eternal appeal. The earrings are adorned with wonderful pearls each set in cut down collets. The cut down collets create a flower motif design surrounding the setting of each pearl that is delicate and romantic. The pearls are accented with gorgeous black enamel around the central pearls in the top and bottom sections. The bottom drop has a star motif centering the pearl. It is very rare to find early earrings with such fabulous size! The earrings hang down 1 7/8 inches in a shimmer of gold, pearls and enamel. The lovely three dimensional design of the earrings give them wonderful depth which enhances their beauty from all angles when hanging from the ear. Each section is articulated allowing the earrings to dangle beautifully from the ear.
The earrings are 18 Karat Gold.
The earrings are 1 7/8 inches (48mm) long from the top of the hooks. Without the hooks the earrings are 1 3/8 inches (35mm) long. The lower portions are 5/8 inch (17mm) wide and they are 6mm deep.
