A Pair Of Early Victorian Diamond Drop Earrings
About the Item
A pair of Early Victorian diamond drop earrings, each earring comprising a circular diamond cluster surmount, and pear-shaped diamond cluster drop, linked by a diamond-encrusted ribbon bow, diamonds estimated to weigh a total of 3.60 carats for both earrings, all silver cutdown collet-set to a yellow gold mount and hook fitting, circa 1840, gross weight 4.4 grams.
These pair of earrings are in good condition for their age with minimal signs of wear. Unmarked tested as silver and 18ct gold.
A dazzling pair of early Victorian earrings. These earrings each feature an upper round diamond cluster, from which is suspended a diamond-set bow. Hanging from the bow is a further cluster, with a sparkling old-cut pear-shaped diamond set in the centre. These elegant and feminine earrings have a lively sparkle to them and catch the light beautifully. These earrings come from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales and would be a stunning addition to a wedding dress or a perfect addition to an evening gown.
