Art Deco Modernist 1930s Bakelite and Chrome Earrings
About the Item
Beautiful piece of jewellery dating to the 1930's are these modernist pair of drop earrings. Features stepped geometric chevron shapes in mirror chrome with jet Black & green phenolic Bakelite accents. New Silver plated lever backed wires have been added for hygiene, they are nickle and lead free . These look wonderful on and definitely appeal to the ladies with a true sense of individual style, quite light in weight they don't feel heavy on at all. As one of the leading manufacturers of jewellery European Art Deco produced in the 20's and 30's was very innovative and individual, making wonderful pieces of jewellery, aesthetically characterised by the modernist designs. . Very much in the style of Jakob Bengel. The mildest of tarnishing to the silvering, otherwise excellent condition.
