These contemporary fig earrings feature frosted smoky quartzes set in silver and are available for immediate shipping, whereas in other cases it may take longer to cut the gems. This handcrafted designer jewelry piece is part of a limited edition collection and has been featured in Vogue UA and worn by actress Anne Ratte-Polle on the red carpet of the 64th Berlinale Film Festival.
The smoky quartz fruits are unique hand-sculpted representations of the sweetest southern figs that grow on elegant twigs with long needles and leaves. They typically have a tender green-beige tone when the fruit is young, but it later turns to a dusty dark purple-black until it can drop its sugary juice, melting in the sun, unless it's eaten by birds, sloths, or monkeys. This design is also available in rose gold with frosted amethysts.
The elegant, precise needles represent the traditional calligraphy principle of 'lines and spots' and symbolize the sharp lines of order and accuracy. Combined with transparent frosted matte gems, they make the perfect accent for these contemporary earrings.
These artist-designed earrings are available in 18 karat rose, white, or yellow gold upon request.
