One-of-a-kind Mono earring set with white, blue and orange shades of Opal Oval cut stone, set in 18k Yellow Gold. There is a wide range of Opal varieties, but Rossella designs exclusively with the finest boulder, crystal, fire and blue opals available. Play of color is the most distinctive characteristic of an opal, and it occurs in endless unique patterns and color combinations. We seek out stones for their unique beauty, natural inclusions and all. Opal is a mysterious and captivating stone that mesmerizes the eye, it is amazing how many colors a single stone can contain.
The term Opal derives from the Greek "opallios" which means "to see a change". The ancient Greeks believed that the opal was a talisman capable of predicting the future and therefore symbolized the possibility of being successful and bringing luck to its owner.

Rossella Ugolini
I spent my childhood in the garden of wonders of my grandfather’s city-cottage. He was an engineer but also an inventor.
There I learned to look at details with curiosity and imagination and that ideas can become real things.
I let my thoughts express themselves only through drawing and dancing. They were my way of occupying space, giving it shape and taming a universe that scared me.
Today I owe to my training the ability to shape ideas through gold and precious stones: ideas that always originate from observation and are reprocessed by imagination and design. This is how the pencil draws lines that will become jewels.
With my work I try to give back, in another form, the beautiful things that I have been lucky enough to admire and that I have never stopped looking for as an adult, even now.
I use my goldsmith’s lens to observe the history and beauty of Italy but also to go beyond places and things and discover the less visible charm of the soul and thoughts.
