Rare and unusual charms bracelet from the art nouveau period.
This is one of the most beautiful and colorful charms bracelet we has been seen in long time. This bracelet is of European origin and is composed by charms from different periods such; the Georgian, the Victorian, the Etruscan revival, The Edwardian and the art nouveau. Definitely this charms bracelet was assembled at least in a period of about forty or fifty years. It was crafted with thirteen charms predominantly in solid yellow gold of 14 and a few in 18 karats with one charm in sterling silver. The bracelet is fitted with a crab security lock. It is embellished with a great assortment of natural earth mined gemstones of different shapes, cuts and colors. Some of the charms are embellished with applications of color enamels.

An amazing and very beautiful piece, created during the Edwardian period, back in the 1911. The movement was made in Switzerland and the case by the London importer and retailer George Stockwell & Co. This ultra thin elegant pocket watch was crafted in solid .925/.999 sterling silver end embellished with a radial guilloche engine turned finish, topped with a purplish-blue hot enamel. Accented on both sides with floral patterns and round frames in white enamel. It is fitted on top with a movable ring to wear in a chain or a fob and two hinged lids, one of them with a semi-bombe crystal for a 30mm open face.
Dial: Silvered on a radial guilloche, analog with black Arabic numbers, black batons and blued steel hands. Secondary dial for the seconds. Inscribed in Spanish, Cronometros Escasany.
Movement: Is 28mm size 3/0, Mechanical and hand winding with onion crown. Case reference number 8725, movement serial ref; 920700.
Weight: 60.95 Grams, (39.08 Dwt).
Measurements: 62 mm by 47.3 mm by 10.5 mm (2.44 x 1.86 x 0.41 Inches).

Luckenbooth brooches are traditional Scottish love tokens. They are usually a heart shaped brooch, often with a crown or coronet above one heart, or two intertwined hearts, with similar motifs to the Claddagh ring. European Heart-shaped brooches date back to late medieval period but this design probably did not appear in Scotland before the 17th century. It became very popular in the 19th century, featuring in the ranges of Scottish manufacturing jewellers, for the Highland outfitter and tourist trades. They are typically made of silver, although gold heart brooches were made for wealthy people and may be engraved or set with stones.
The name comes from the Luckenbooths of Edinburgh. Luckenbooth is a Scots word for a lockable stall or workshop. Originating in the 15th century, they were the city's first permanent shops, situated on the Royal Mile near St. Giles Cathedral. Initially housing mainly silversmiths and goldsmiths. They were demolished in 1817.
The brooches were often given as a betrothal or wedding gift. It might have been worn as a charm, by a nursing mother to help her milk flow or be pinned to a baby’s clothing. It was also known as a witch-brooch to protect children from evil.

An art deco chinoiserie stick pin with green Jade.
Very nice antique piece from the European art deco period, circa 1920. This large hat-dress pin has been crafted with chinoiserie patterns in solid .800/.999 silver and mounted on top with a decorative element carved from natural Nephrite jadeite jade. The carving depicts the flying figure of a mythological dragon.
The dragon is also a symbol of power, strength, and good luck for people who are worthy of it in east Asian culture. during the days of imperial China, the emperor of China usually used the dragon as a symbol of his imperial strength and power. In Chinese culture, excellent and outstanding people are compared to a dragon, while incapable people with no achievements are compared to other, disesteemed creatures, such as a worm. A number of Chinese proverbs and idioms feature references to a dragon, such as "hoping one's child will become a dragon".
