Art Nouveau Virgin Mary Pendant Plique À Jour Enamel 18 Kt Gold Pearls Diamonds
About the Item
This beautiful Art Nouveau pendant shows a relief portrait of the Virgin Mary amidst a fine plique à jour enamel halo of green ornaments before an orange background. The image of Mary is surrounded by a fine cut out frame, decorated with a chiselled wreath of rose diamond set lilies and a bow. Orient pearls threaded on metal highlight the outer edge of the pendant. This fine piece of jewellery is fully marked with French hallmarks for 18 karat and a lozenge shaped makers mark.
