AJD Elegant 18 Inch Baroque Pearl and Smoky Quartz Necklace Great Gift!!
About the Item
Necklace of iridescent white Pearls mixed with various sizes of Smoky Quartz. These Pearls are freeform and 18-22 mm in size. There are three large puffy Smoky Quartz nuggets, four softly faceted transparent Smokies, and lots of sparkling transparent Smoky rondels for accent. This 18 inch necklace is secured with a gold vermeil toggle clasp. Pearls are Mother Nature’s gift from the Sea. They are organic gemstones formed inside either freshwater or saltwater mollusks. The type of mollusk producing the pearl influences the body color. Most mollusks have been assisted by the insertion of a bit natural material inserted into its shell around which it can lay down layers of nacre. These cultured pearls come in a variety of natural colors including gold, white, gray, black, and blue. Then they have the lovely iridescent hues of all the rainbow colors. Pearls can also be bleached and dyed to create just about any color you desire. Pearls are soft and absorbent so be gentle with them. They are the traditional June birthstone as well as gifts for brides. Smoky Quartz is a variant of the Quartz mineral family which ranges in color from a light gray to darker gray/brown/black and can be transparent to barely translucent. It is the national gem of Scotland, and sacred to the Druids in Celtic cultures. Hecate, the ancient Greek goddess was also associated with Smoky Quartz. Smoky Quartz is thought to help one become balanced and grounded especially with a chaotic life.
