Very elegant French Belle Époque 18 karat gold sautoir made up from two variations of delicately worked oval links alternating with oriental pearls.

Necklace in 18 karat white gold and platinum, eagle head and dog head hallmarks. Charming antique necklace, it consists of a thin jaseron mesh which holds a pattern formed by 2 shuttles, decorated with 2 rose-cut diamonds that support a fall of 3 cushion-cut diamonds and antique brilliant- cut and which ends with a drop pattern, openworked set with rose-cut diamonds and 2 cushion-cut diamonds and antique- cut diamond in the center. The clasp is a spring ring. Total weight of diamonds : 0.80 carat approximately. Height : 3.3 cm, width : 13 mm, thickness : 4.6 mm. Length of the chain : 42 cm, thickness : 0,4 mm approximately. A Belle Epoque navette-shape miniature pendant, set to the centre with a grisaille miniature depicting Venus and Eros, pressumed by Paillet, set under domed crystal surrounded by a rose-cut diamond-set frame and yellow gold back, terminating to three pearl and diamond-set drops, all suspended by a fine platinum and seed pearl-set chain, bearing Inventory number 4514, French hallmarks for gold and platinum and indistinct maker’s mark, circa 1900, the pendant measuring approximately 6.3 x 2.2cm, the chain is measuring approximately 40cm long, gross weight 7.8 grams. Fernand Paillet (1850-1918) was a painter of miniatures for the Paris jeweller Boucheron.
