Steven Battelle Mixed 18K Gold Oxidized Silver Handmade Heavier Chain
About the Item
A handmade chain with organic hammered links of alternating 18K yellow gold and dark oxidized silver is a beautiful piece all by itself, or great with a pendant. The links are approximately 1.5mm wide. There are 32 gold links at the bottom, with 12, and then 9, gold links on the sides alternating with the oxidized silver sections going on up to the toggle clasp. This chain is 20" in length, but we also have 18" in stock at the same price. These are excellent with some of our larger ancient coin pendants. Nice!

Steven Battelle
After a chance trip to SouthEast Asia in 1987, Steven Battelle became fascinated with the jewelry and iconology from the ancient cultures of Egypt, Mesopotamia, Greece, and Asia. Eventually forming a partnership with a dedicated group of Balinese village goldsmiths using painstaking handmade techniques, they together create unique designs that incorporate those timeless and classic motifs. He incorporates primarily cabochon gemstones as well as ancient Greek and Roman coins, each piece capturing the feelings of a bygone age. If you wish to create your own special piece, similar to a style we make, please let us know, and we'll see what we can do.
