About the Item
Sparkling, unique choker of Smoky Quartz and Golden Vermeil Nuggets. These glittering Smoky Quartz range from golden to darker brown. This elegant 16 inch choker necklace is designed to complement all skin tones. The sparkling 5MM faceted Smoky Quartz rondelles are spaced with gold tone accents. The choker is secured with a vermeil hook and eye clasp. Wear this choker with your entire wardrobe! Smoky Quartz is a variant of the Quartz mineral family which ranges in color from a light gray to darker gray/brown/black and can be transparent to barely translucent. It is the national gem of Scotland, and sacred to the Druids in Celtic cultures. Hecate, the ancient Greek goddess was also associated with Smoky Quartz. Smoky Quartz is thought to help one become balanced and grounded especially with a chaotic life.

With over 20 years of experience and a passion for travel, Martha and Kathy create bespoke jewelry with curated gemstones from their adventures around the world. Martha lived in Brazil for over 15 years and her travels have taken her to various mining regions within Brazil, South Africa, and the Far East to examine and handpick the gemstones for the Aria Collections. Kathy lives by the motto, "Go Big or Go Home," and fell in love with jewelry design when she met founder Hans Stern, a pioneer in designing jewelry with Brazil's vibrantly colored gemstones, Mr. Stern invited her to his workroom, shared his expertise - and she was hooked. Martha and Kathy met while living in Rio de Janeiro and they have been design partners and friends ever since.
