Frank Gehry is a world famous Canadian-American architect. Known for his eccentric futuristic designs, Modernist influences, and curvilinear aesthetic, Gehry is often celebrated as one of the world's most influential modern architects. In addition to his award-winning architectural resume, Gehry launched an exclusive jewelry collection with Tiffany & Co. in 2006. True to his aesthetic roots, the collection explored shape and form with simple, yet elegant designs, and a variety of natural materials. This stylish necklace from Tiffany & Co. is one of Frank Gehry's celebrated jewelry designs! Known as the Frank Gehry ® Fish Necklace, the design was inspired by Gehry's long-time fascination with fish and their unique form. The necklace consists of 7 elongated "fish" links that hang from a sterling silver snake chain. The fish have a unique, asymmetrical design that accentuates their angles and flowing curves - one of the hallmarks of Gehry's works. The fish vary in size, and are crafted in a variety of materials, including sterling silver, black onyx, nephrite green jade, acacia wood,and pernambuco wood. The sterling snake chain is threaded through an hole drilled within each fish bead, allowing the links to hang in a group at the center. Stamped on the lobster clasp the authentic "TIFFANY & CO." hallmark on one side, and the signature "© Gehry 925" signature on the other side. Accompanying the necklace is an authentic Tiffany & Co. blue suede drawstring pouch. This fabulous collaborative piece between a renowned architect and legendary jewelry maker would make a fantastic everyday accessory! The chain measures approximately 14" long. The largest fish pendant measures 1 3/8" long and 3/8" wide. The smallest fish pendant measures 1" long and 1/4" wide.

Wear consistent with age and use. The overall condition of the piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the chain or clasp and each fish pendant is intact and free of any damage.
