Dramatic Whitby jet necklace with a large drop, ties with a ribbon so the length can be adjusted. Jet, a fossil of carbonized driftwood, was mined at Whitby, Yorkshire, beginning in the late 1700's. The drop measures 1 1/2" wide by 2" high.
