Art Deco Old European Cut Diamond Pearl Carved Jade Platinum Serpent Necklace
About the Item
Designed as a lavalier or "Y" style necklace centering a tapered rectangular carved jade pendant station. Measuring 31.5 x 52.5 mm - translucent light to medium green with tan and white mottling. Pierced and carved to depict swirling serpents with engraved scales . With twist-open mechanism accented by pearl beads measuring 2.5 to 3.0 mm round, white in body color with moderate iridescence. With rose cut diamonds weighing approximately 0.16 carat total - eye clean and bright. Suspending from a stylized paperclip chain with navette shaped stations. Centering bezel set old European cut diamonds weighing 0.25 carat total, H/I in color with SI2 clarity. Completed by spring clasp closure. Tested as platinum. Circa: 1930's. Chain length: 20 1/2 inches. Drop station measures: 1 x 3 1/4 inches. Total weight: 23.0 grams. Majestic. Minty. Monsters.
