About the Item

Handcrafted in France in our High Jewelry Paris workshop. Designed by Édéenne, artist and founder of Maison Édéenne, this delicate and elegant Open Necklace features eight butterflies in 18K white gold set with brilliant-cut diamonds totaling 6.20 carats, and one butterfly in 18K white gold and two Akoya pearls. It sparkles with its timeless elegance for any day and night occasions. Each piece by Édéenne tells stories with deep meanings. Butterflies on this jewel seem actually to be about to fly away gracefully from your neck. The artist was inspired by a flight of Monarch, the majestic travelling butterflies which fly from Mexico to the US and Canada against all odds in six months and five generations. For Édéenne, butterflies are a tribute to tenacity. True Work of Art, the "Butterfly" series has been exhibited in Museums worldwide, notably during the exhibition “Maison Édéenne, where Jewelry meets Art” at Museum of Legion of Honor, Paris (2019) and for a solo show at Sotheby’s London (2018) titled “Maison Édéenne, Jewellery Beyond Bespoke”.
