THIS IS A STUNNING ART DECO - EDWARDIAN - VICTORIAN NEGLIGEE NECKLACE OF GREAT BEAUTY. THE NECKLACE IS COMPOSED OF GOLD MESH BANDS IN 14 KARAT GOLD. THE MESH BANDS ARE DECORATED WITH CHAINS OF NATURAL RED CORAL BEADS AND THE TWO PENDANT ENDS HAVE TWO GRADUATED RED CORAL BEADS. A VERY RARE NECKLACE OF EXTRAORDINARY DESIGN. THE STUNNING MESH LAYS SO BEAUTIFULLY ON THE NECK AND HAS A SENSUAL ROMANTIC FEEL. YOU WILL LOVE THIS, AND SO WONDERFUL TO FIND WITH THE NATURAL RED CORAL! DATING TO CIRCA 1900-1920.
The design is full of the delicate romance of the age and is so special with the red coral which is all the rage today! These original negligee necklaces in gold with coral have become almost impossible to find today.
