This wonderful pendant depicting a woman wrapping her arms around something which is a obsidian stone. Modernist is design. Salvador Teran was a Taxco born silversmith who began his career working with his cousins, know as the Los Castillo brothers, Don Antonio, Jorge, Miguel and Justo Castillo. In 1952 Salvador opened his own workshop, which became very successful. Salvador was well known for his 3-dimensional metal and mosaic pieces, many of which depicted humans and animals.
