Antique Egyptian Enamel Flapper Belt Necklace 1920s

About the Item

A very special and rare piece. A 1910 - 1920s antique Egyptian Enamel Belt Necklace. Originating from the early 20th century egyptian revival period. Most likely a piece of flapper jewellery, this piece could have been worn as a neck or waist ornament. Featuring hammered chrome metal, with two beautiful art panels depicting an Egyptian character, possibly with a Pharoah's headwear or diadem. This piece is in remarkable condition for it's age. The enamel panels appear to be fully in tact and there are no breaks or loss. The only possible comment on coniditon is there may be some slight patination on the chrome metal but no corrosion. The belt fastens with an elegant hook slider and their is also the addition of 2 pins to anchor the enamel panels in place and in a specific position when worn - probably at the sides of the body. Measuring approx 87cm long. A remarkable piece of wearable egyptian revival flapper jewellery, dating back around 100 years. A must for the Egyptian jewellery collector.
