Circa 1960s, 18k, by Paul Binder, Zurich. The juxtaposition of texture, color, and sparkle engenders a bold modernist look in this spectacular necklace by Paul Binder of Zurich. The look is sophisticated sculpture to go. Set with 15.0 carats of superb no-heat cabochon sapphires and 2.50 carats of brilliant white diamonds (G color VS clarity), this necklace is a triumph of Post Modern design. Paul Binder was renowned as the finest Swiss goldsmith of his generation. Known for breakthrough contemporary styling, his dedication to producing only one-of-a-kind works, and superior skill as a goldsmith, his pieces are sought after by collectors and museums alike. Excellent condition.
