1810s French Napoleonic Era 18k Gold Leaf on Glass Pendant, Paris
About the Item
Of etched gold leaf on glass (fr. verre églomisé) depicting the figure of Eros holding a torch in a wooded landscape, the frame attached to three small gold chains joined by a central ring, mounted in 18k gold. The reverse with a vacant compartment covered by glass. Chain sold separately as Victorian Yellow Gold Link Chain, 19th century (Dealer ref no. CHFD108.)
Paris, 1799-1819, hallmarked.
