1980s Antique French Sapphire and Diamond Yellow Gold Pendant

About the Item

An impressive vintage French 1.18 carat blue sapphire and 0.82 carat diamond, 18 karat yellow gold and 18 karat white gold set pendant; part of our diverse gemstone jewelry collections. This fine and impressive pear cut sapphire pendant has been crafted in 18k yellow gold with an 18k white gold setting. The pendant has an asymmetric, pear shaped form ornamented with a feature 18k yellow gold six claw set pear cut 1.18 ct blue sapphire, displayed to the centre of the design. The sapphire is surrounded by eighteen 18k white gold collet set modern brilliant round cut diamonds, with a single collet set eight-cut diamond to the apex of the design. The pendant suspends from a contemporary 18k white gold 18" fine link trace chain via a second invert pear shaped setting to the upper border of the design, securing with a conventional spring loaded bolt ring fastening. The pendant is hallmarked to the reverse of the setting with the French hallmark for 18k gold (eagle's head), struck twice. The chain may be replaced with a chain of the same quality, in a style or length to meet your personal requirements. This impressive vintage 1980's sapphire pendant is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card. Images do not always reflect the true color and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds.
