About the Item
22 Karat Yellow Gold Cabochon Pendant by Romae Jewelry Based on an Ancient Design. Our distinctive "Pontus" pendant features a shape that is strikingly modern in design, and is based on a fifth century BC example from Cyprus. Here, a prominent and gorgeously ribbed, thick bail attaches onto a gently curved frame that terminates in two ivy leaves which cradle a beautiful cabochon stone in a bezel setting. Our pendant is available with the following stones: Red Agate, Black Onyx, and Aqua Chalcedony.
Each piece of Romae jewelry is inspired by an ancient example, and is carefully designed and lovingly crafted in Rome by archaeologist and museum specialist Cris and artist Elena. Our pieces are made to order, and each is individually cast, hand finished and personalized, which allows for freedom of stone choice and special tailoring such as inscriptions and engravings. When shipped, each piece of Romae jewelry arrives with a product card that provides information about the culture, date, and find spot of the original piece of jewelry that inspired our design. Lead time 4 - 5 weeks.

Our jewelry is made to order. If you would prefer a different stone, we are happy to make a substitution, if possible. Please include your stone choice when placing your order. Precious gems are also welcome, though the price of the earrings may change. This pendant may be purchased along with a 22 Karat Gold Chain, 22" long.
