About the Item
Austro-Hungarian empire, Vienna, circa 1880
This charming antique heart shaped pendant is crafted in 14K gold and silver and densely set with white old mine cut diamonds (approximately H color and SI clarity). The reverse is fitted with a glazed compartment, traditionally used for a miniature portrait.
The pendant bears the Austro-Hungarian fox head assay mark for the fourth gold standard and the letter ‘A’ for Vienna.
The estimated total diamond weight is 1.20 carats.
A beautiful example of late 19th century Viennese jewelry, this pendant combines romantic design with the sparkle of antique diamonds.
Dimensions: 18 × 16 mm (11/16 × 5/8 in.), excluding bail.
