About the Item

A stunning antique Victorian 13.02 carat lapis lazuli and seed pearl, 18 karat yellow gold pendant / brooch; part of our diverse antique estate jewelry collections. This stunning, fine and impressive Victorian pendant has been crafted in 18k yellow gold. The pierced decorated, stellate design is ornamented with a central cabochon cut lapis lazuli. A further twelve collet set lapis lazuli ornament the design, in a combination of round cabochon and pear shaped cabochon cuts. Forty-two pavé set seed pearls of various sizes embellish the intricate stellate design. The Victorian pendant suspends from a vintage (1977) rolo chain, composed of large circular links, via a flared ring loop attachment to the upper border of the design, accented with an oval cabochon cut lapis lazuli and three pavé set seed pearls. The ring loop attachment may be removed and the pendant may be worn as a brooch via a 14k yellow gold hinged pin and clasp to the reverse of the setting. The jump rings to either side of the conventional bolt ring fastening to the chain are hallmarked with the gold guarantee mark (crown), the 9k gold fineness mark 375, the maker's mark (MKJ), the London Assay Office hallmark (leopard's head) and the date letter for 1977 (c). This Victorian lapis lazuli pendant has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18k gold with a 14k gold brooch pin. The pendant is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card. Images do not always reflect the true color and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds. The video however provides a truer representation of the actual color and showcases each stone. Condition This stunning pendant brooch is exceptional quality set with cabochon cut lapis lazuli and seed pearls. The pendant and chain are an exceptional gauge of gold and in excellent condition, the chain hallmarked to the clasp.
