Antique Victorian Ruby Emerald Diamond 14 Karat Gold Reversible Locket
About the Item
Rare double sided antique 14k yellow gold locket, circa 1880. One side of the locket is set with a silver and diamond star centering on a ruby and the other side is set with an identical star with an emerald. Two locket looks in one! The stars are set with 36 Old Mine cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.50 carats total. The bright ruby and emerald weigh about 0.40 carats Both colored stones are bright clean lively gems. The locket opens and has its original photo and hair memento (can be removed). As a historic piece, it is delightfully intact. The original patina of the locket has not been touched or cleaned. It’s a rare and unusual piece of antique jewelry that is so wearable today.
