Butterfly Necklace
About the Item
The Butterfly Necklace creates the illusion of a butterfly that is about to fly away, adding movement to an otherwise rigid piece. The Butterfly is made out of a carved Pink Tourmaline Wings with bits of green, being held together by prongs and the solid sterling silver body, creating the overall shape of the butterfly.
The frame was made out of wax, casted and then soldered to a flat sheet of solid sterling silver. Patina and a satin look were added for an antique and soft look.
The pendant is attached to the chain by a 14K yellow gold bail connection, adding contrast to this silver jewel.
This necklace is perfect for everyday wear, one-of-a-kind, and a great idea for a Christmas gift for those who love to wear jewelry inspired by the natural world.
The pendant dimensions are 46mm x 27mm x 13.30mm, a great size to layer this necklace with your other necklaces.

Angely Martinez
Born in Dominican Republic, Angely Martinez is an award-winning jewelry designer and metalsmith based in New York City. Her work is influenced by the beauties of nature and the world of fantasy with a touch of Romanticism and the Baroque. These are themes that she has been obsessed with since childhood. Previously, she has worked in the jewelry industry as a bench jeweler for fine jewelry companies, where she was able to master her craft. She's a former participant of Bijules Incubator, a talent development program, where she built her debut collection, VERMILLION. This selection of one-of-a-kind (OOAK) silver jewels for 1st Dibs will be her last installment of OOAK pieces made in such metal, becoming collectible items. In 2023, she will begin transitioning her business mostly into gold.
