A Victorian garnet, pearl and diamond brooch/pendant, set to the centre with four triangular cabochon-cut garnets between rose-cut diamond-set cross and natural pearl surround, with cabochon-cut garnet and rose-cut diamond loop, all set in a yellow gold mount with brooch fittings and locket, circa 1860, measuring 4x 2.8cm, gross weight 13.2 grams,
This antique brooch/pendant is in good condition for its age. Unmarked, tested as 18ct gold with 9ct gold pin.
A wonderful garnet, pearl, and diamond pendant. This piece features a cross of rose-cut diamonds, between which is set four cabochon-cut garnets with a rich crimson glow. Surrounding the garnets is a frame of lustrous pearls. The pendant fitting features a further cabochon garnet. This piece comes from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales and exemplifies High Victorian jewellery style.
