George III Diamond and Enamel Navette Pendant, circa 1790

About the Item

A George III diamond and enamel navette-shaped sentimental pendant, circa 1790. The pendant has been executed in the French manner, having an old cut diamond border, leading to a purple guilloche enameled ground, with a pear shaped old-cut diamond to the centre, and a rose cut diamond set bow and garland surround. The pendant is fronted in silver, and backed in 9 karat gold with a engraved border. Date: - Circa 1790s. Period: - Late 18th Century. Engraving: - N/A. Measurement: - The pendant measures 3.9 cm (height including bale loop) x 1.6 cm (length). Weight: - 6.0 grams.
