GILIN Carved Natural Green Jadeite Jade 'Ye-zi' Diamond Pendant
About the Item
Natural Jadeite, is known as 'heavenly' and 'imperial' in the Chinese culture. Different shapes have different morals behind their carvings. Chinese people believed Jadeite brings good luck, good health or protection to the wearer.
This 7.35 carat 'Ye-zi' shape (meaning leaves) natural green jadeite is originated from Myanmar (Burma), sets with 3 pieces of 0.22 carat natural rosecut diamonds and 61 pieces of 0.50 carat natural round brilliant diamonds in 18K white gold.

There are 3 main morals behind a 'ye-zi' jadeite:
1. Peerless beauty / Elegance - It is derived from the Chinese idiom for female 'Jin zhi yu ye'. 'Ye' means leaves. The whole idiom represents Imperial kinsman in the ancient times. Nowadays it is mainly described as nobility. Therefore, females who are given a leaf jadeite is recognised to carry an elegant, gentle and beauty temperament as a compliment.
* A leaf Jadeite is also suitable for male. Gentle and cultivated - It is derived from the Chinese idiom for male 'Yu shu lin feng'. 'Shu' means trees, where leaves are highly dependent on. The whole idiom represents cultured and refined. Similar to female, it is seen as a compliment for male.
2. Strong love of married couples - In a million types of leaves, there is one type that is homonymous to the chinese word 'he'; (meaning bonding and together). It is Lotus leaf - 'he-ye'. People believed married couples who wear leaf jadeite will be blessed and protected by the God of Love and their bonding shall last forever.
3. Successful and contentment (in career and family) - Also taken from a homonymous chinese idioms 'Shi ye you cheng', meaning successful career and future; and 'An ju le ye', meaning peace and contentment in live and work.
